Removal Procedure
- Place the transmission in PARK.
- Disable the parking brake cable adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling .
- Place the power button in the OFF position.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the left rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
- Remove the parking brake cable nut (1) from the electronic parking brake control module.
- Disconnect the electronic parking brake control module electrical connector.
- Remove the electronic parking brake control module nuts (1).
- Lower the front of the electronic parking brake control module (1) and release the module from the grommet in the vehicle body.
- Remove the electronic parking brake control module.
WARNING:
Do not use a service jack in locations other than those specified to lift this vehicle. Lifting the vehicle with a jack in those other locations could cause the vehicle to slip off the jack and roll; this could cause injury or death.
