Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:

Because of normal system communications between the BCM and ECM, any immobilizer DTCs set in the BCM must be diagnosed prior to the diagnosis immobilizer DTCs set in the ECM.

  1. Perform the BCM immobilizer learn using the Body Control Module IMMO Function with Existing Transponder or Remote Key in SPS. Refer to Immobilizer System Component Programming .
  2. Verify the BCM successfully completes the learn procedure and the engine starts.
    • If the BCM does not successfully learn or the engine does not start 

      Perform the ECM immobilizer learn using the Engine Control Module IMMO Learn in SPS. Refer to Immobilizer System Component Programming .

    • If the vehicle starts
