Mode Control Cam Actuator Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the heater and air conditioning evaporator module. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side .
1 Mode Cam Actuator Cover Screw (Qty: 1)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure: 
Disconnect the mode actuator electrical connector.

Tighten:  1.5 N.m (13 lb in)

2 Mode Cam Actuator Cover.
3 Mode Cam Actuator Gears
4 Mode Cam Actuator Screw (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  1.5 N.m (13 lb in)

5 Mode Cam Actuator
Tip:  Actuator is self-calibrating when connecting the battery.
