Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front strut assembly.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the strut mounting plate (2).
  3. Install the upper strut mount nut (1).
  4. Using the CH-49375  wrench (2) and the Torx® (1), tighten the front suspension strut mounting nut to 45 Y (33 lb ft).

  5. Insert the front strut in the knuckle.
  6. Install the steering knuckle nuts and bolts (1) and tighten to 90 N.m (66 lb ft) +60°-70°.

  7. Install the stabilizer shaft link nut (1) and tighten to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).

  8. Install the brake hose (1) to the strut.
  9. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Install dash upper extension panel opening cover. Refer to Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement .
