Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to SIR Warning .

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the driver knee bolster panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the driver's side instrument panel insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement .

  4. Remove the electrical connector from the steering column telescope actuator motor assembly (2) connector.
  5. Remove the 2 fasteners (1) from the steering column telescope actuator motor assembly (2).
  6. Disconnect the steering column telescope actuator cable assembly (4) from the steering telescope actuator motor assembly (2).
  7. Remove the steering column telescope actuator motor assembly (2) from the steering column.
