Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering shaft upper bearing spring. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual) , Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping) .
  2. Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement .
  3. Remove the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch from the turn signal bracket. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .
    4. Fig 1: Turn Signal Switch Bracket

  4. Release the tabs retaining the turn signal switch bracket (1) to the steering column housing.
  5. Slide the turn signal switch bracket (1) off of the steering column shaft.
