Lead/Pull Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Chevrolet Caprice. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
At a constant speed on a typical straight road, lead/pull is the amount of effort required at the steering wheel to maintain the vehicles straight path.
Lead/pull is usually caused by the following factors.
- Tyre Construction
- Wheel Alignment
- Unbalanced Steering Gear
The way in which a tyre is built may produce lead/pull.
The rear tyres will not cause lead.
