Instrument Cluster Replacement and/or Reprogramming

If the instrument cluster needs to be replaced and/or reprogrammed, the following procedures must be performed:
- Connect a scan tool to the vehicle and access SPS. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .
- Before removing the old instrument cluster, perform the SPS function Prepare Control Module for Removal.
- Replace the instrument cluster.
- Perform the SPS function Instrument Cluster - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Perform the SPS function Instrument Cluster - Configuration and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Perform the SPS function Instrument Cluster - Setup and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Clear DTCs after completing the programming procedure.
NOTE:
The Prepare Control Module for Removal function can only be performed when communication with the old control module is still possible.
