Installation Procedure

  1. Position the fuel filler tube to the vehicle.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  2. Connect the filler hose (1) to the fuel tank.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fuel filler tube hose clamp (3) to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

  3. Install the evaporative emission (EVAP) line (2), listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the fuel filler tube to chassis retaining bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Install rubber seal surround to the filler tube (1).
  6. Install the earth lead to the filler tube (2).
  7. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  8. Install the Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Rear. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Add fuel to the fuel tank.
  11. Inspect for fuel leaks.
  12. Install the fuel filler cap.
