Preliminary Procedure Remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Removal . Remove the windshield defroster nozzle duct. Refer to Windshield Defroster Nozzle Duct Replacement . Remove the instrument panel sound deadening material.
1	Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Fasteners (Qty: 17) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
2	Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Procedure: Grasp the instrument panel upper trim panel and pull upward releasing the retainer clips securing the instrument panel upper trim panel to the carrier assembly.

Remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Removal .
Remove the windshield defroster nozzle duct. Refer to Windshield Defroster Nozzle Duct Replacement .
Remove the instrument panel sound deadening material.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Fasteners (Qty: 17)

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten: 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel
Procedure:
Grasp the instrument panel upper trim panel and pull upward releasing the retainer clips securing the instrument panel upper trim panel to the carrier assembly.
