Installation Procedure

  1. Apply a light coat of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the brake caliper guide pins.

    Install the brake caliper guide pin seals (1) to the brake caliper bracket.

  2. Assemble the brake caliper guide pin seals (1) to the brake caliper guide pins (2).
  3. Ensure the lip of the seal is fully seated in the groove of the brake caliper guide pin.
  4. Install the brake caliper guide pin and seal assemblies to the brake caliper bracket.
  5. Ensure the lip of the seal is fully seated in the groove of the brake caliper bracket.

    NOTE:

    If installing new brake pads, install new brake pad springs.

  7. Install the brake pad springs (1).

  9. Install the outer brake pad (1).
  10. Install the inner brake pad (2).

  12. Position the brake caliper to the bracket.
  13. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  14. Using a backup wrench to hold the brake caliper guide pins stationary, install and tighten the guide pin bolts (1) to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
  15. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
