Removal Procedure

    WARNING: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Warning .
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the side impact inflator module from the seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement .

  3. With the seat back cover in the open position the wiring harness on the side impact inflator module will be exposed.

    Remove the retaining clips that secure the inflator module wiring harness to the seat.

  4. Remove the wiring harness.
