Turbocharger Air Inlet Adapter Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
3. Remove the auxiliary generator, if equipped. Refer to Auxiliary Generator Replacement (KD9) .

Procedure

1. Use a NEW adapter seal.
2. Lubricate the adapter seal with clean engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
3. Tighten the clamp slightly and verify complete engagement by rotating 5° in either direction checking for positive stops.
