Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the fuel below the fuel fill neck. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining .
  2. Remove the filler housing fasteners (1).

  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the filler hose ground fastener (1).

  5. Loosen the bottom filler hose clamp (1).
  6. Disconnect the vent tube (2) from the fuel sender. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  7. Remove the fuel tank filler hose (3).
