Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Fig 1: Adjuster To Frame Mark

  4. Mark the relationship of the adjuster to the frame before removing the adjuster bolt.
  5. Support the rear knuckle with the hydraulic transmission jack.
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft link from the lower control arm. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  7. Remove the lower shock absorber bolt from the lower control arm. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement .

  9. Remove the rear lower control arm bolt (1) and the washer (2).

  11. Remove the rear lower control arm adjuster bolt (3), washer (2), and the nut (1).

  13. Remove the rear lower control arm (1).
