Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the body front electrical wiring harness connector from the washer pump.
  5. Disconnect the washer pump hose from the windshield washer nozzle hose at the upper front fender flange.
  6. Contain any spilled windshield washer solvent from the fender flange area.
1 Windshield Washer Solvent Container Screw (Qty: 3)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  15 N.m (11 lb ft)

2 Windshield Washer Solvent Container

Procedure

  1. Carefully lower and remove the washer container from the front frame rail.
  2. Transfer parts as required to the new windshield washer solvent container.
    • Washer solvent container cap
    • Washer pump hose
    • Washer container clips
    • Washer pump
    • Washer pump filter grommet

Tip:  Empty the windshield washer solvent into a clean suitable container once removed from the vehicle.
