Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery negative cable (1) to the vehicle.
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the battery negative cable to body retaining bolt (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  4. Connect the current sensor electrical connector (3).

    NOTE:

    Clean any corrosion from the battery negative terminal (3).

  6. Attach the battery negative cable (1) to the battery negative terminal (3).
  7. Install the battery negative cable to battery negative terminal retaining nut (2) and tighten to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  9. Attach the rear compartment side trim panel (2) to the left body side panel.
  10. Install the rear compartment side trim panel to body retaining scrivets (1).
  11. Install the rear end trim finish panel. Refer to Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement .
  12. Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Sedan) .
  13. Close the rear compartment lid.
