Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary battery (3) with the hold down retainer (2) and the auxiliary battery tray bracket (1).
  2. Install the auxiliary battery vent hose.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the auxiliary battery tray bracket nut (1) and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
  4. Install the auxiliary battery hold down retainer bolt (2) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the auxiliary negative battery cable (2) and tighten the clamp nut (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  6. Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Connect the primary negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) .
