Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Outlook, 2009 GMC Acadia, 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2009 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The rear seat entertainment (RSE) system utilizes the vehicle radio to play DVD movies and transmit video signals to the rear digital video disc (DVD) display. When the radio is turned ON, the DVD display receives a voltage signal from the radio via the entertainment remote enable signal circuit indicating the system status. The video high and low signal circuits are used to transmit the DVD images to the rear DVD display. The video high (+) voltage will vary as the brightness and the speed of the image varies. A typical voltage reading for the video high (+) is 1 to 2.5V at the disconnected video display.
