Circuit/System Verification
- Apply and release brake pedal. Verify brake lamps operate properly.
- If brake lamps do not operate properly, refer to Symptoms - Lighting .
- Verify the brake pedal position sensor or the brake pedal is not binding causing residual brake pressure to be detected, when the brake lights operate properly.
- Replace the EBCM/BPMV assembly.
