Electronic Brake Control Module Scan Tool Information

Operating Conditions:  Ignition ON
ABS Active - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool displays Yes if the ABS system is performing antilock braking.
ABS Failed - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes is displayed if there is an ABS fault.
Battery Voltage Signal - Varies This displays volts. This is the voltage supplied to the EBCM.
Brake Fluid Level Status - OK The scan tool displays OK or Low. This is the state of the brake fluid level sensor.
Brake Pressure Sensor Input - Varies The scan tool displays 0-5 Volts. This voltage signal indicates the master cylinder hydraulic pressure applied to the system
BPP Signal - Released The scan tool displays Applied or Released. The scan tool displays the applied state of the brake pedal position sensor.
Delivered Torque - 0% The scan tool displays 0-100%. The duty cycle of the signal is used to transmit how much engine torque the ECM is delivering. Normal values are between 10-90 percent duty cycle. The signal is at low values (approximately 10 percent) at idle and at higher values under driving conditions.
DRP Active - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool displays if the EBCM is performing dynamic rear proportioning.
DRP Disabled - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool displays if the EBCM is no longer able to perform dynamic rear proportioning.
Engine Drag Control Failed - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. Indicates if the EBCM disabled engine drag control due to a malfunction.
Lateral Accelerometer Input - 0.0 m/s 2 The scan tool displays m/s 2 . This is the current rate of the vehicle acceleration or deceleration as reported by the lateral accelerometer sensor.
LF Wheel Speed Sensor - 0 km/h (0 mph) This displays km/h (mph). This is the current speed of the left front wheel speed sensor.
LF Inlet Solenoid Command - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the left front inlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
LF Outlet Solenoid Command - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the left front outlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
LR Wheel Speed Sensor - OK The scan tool displays OK or Low. This is the state of the washer fluid level.
LR Inlet Solenoid Command - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the left rear inlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
LR Outlet Solenoid Command - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the left rear outlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
Panic Brake Assist Failed - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. Indicates if the EBCM disabled Panic Brake Assist due to a malfunction.
Pump Motor Command Voltage - Varies This displays Volts. The scan tool displays the voltage applied to the ABS pump motor.
Requested Torque - 0% The scan tool displays 0-100%. The duty cycle of the signal is used to transmit how much torque the EBCM is requesting the ECM to deliver. Normal values are between 10-90 percent duty cycle. The signal should be at 90 percent duty cycle when traction control is not active and at lower values (approximately 10 percent) when traction control is active.
RF Inlet Solenoid - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the right front inlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
RF Outlet Solenoid - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the right front outlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
RF Wheel Speed Sensor - 0 km/h (0 mph) This displays km/h (mph). This is the current speed of the right front wheel speed sensor.
RR Inlet Solenoid Command - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the right rear inlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
RR Outlet Solenoid Command - Off The scan tool displays On or Off. On is displayed when the right rear outlet valve solenoid is commanded on.
RR Wheel Speed Sensor - 0 km/h (0 mph) This displays km/h (mph). This is the current speed of the right front wheel speed sensor.
Steering Position Sensor Signal - Varies This displays degrees. This is the signal received from the steering angle sensor.
TCS Active - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool displays if the EBCM is requesting torque reduction from the ECM.
TCS Failed - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool displays if the EBCM is no longer able to perform traction control.
VSES Active - No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool displays Yes when VSES is active, and No when VSES is inactive.
VSES Failed - No The scan tool will display Yes or No depending on the state of the ABS indicator.
Yaw Rate Sensor Input - 0.0 °/sec The scan tool displays the signal received from the yaw rate sensor.

Automated Bleed This is used in order to bleed ABS hydraulics. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .
Steering Angle Sensor Centering This is used to center the steering angle sensor.
