Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement for 2.0L Engine or Intake Manifold Replacement for 2.4L.
1	Starter Solenoid Terminal Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Positive Battery Cable Terminal
3	Starter Solenoid "S" Terminal Nut Tighten: 3 N.m (27 lb in)
4	Engine Harness Terminal
5	Engine Harness Terminal
6	Starter Motor Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten: 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
