Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel fill pipe assembly.
  2. Install the fuel fill hose to the fuel tank (4).
    3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Tighten the fuel fill hose clamp (5) at the fuel tank to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)  .
  4. Connect the fuel fill pipe vapor recirculation pipe (2) quick connect fitting to the fuel tank vapor recirculation hose (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Install the fuel fill pipe bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)  .

  6. Install the fuel fill pipe shield.
  7. Install the fuel fill pipe shield retainers.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  9. Install the fuel fill pipe to fuel fill pocket bolts and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)  .
  10. Refill the fuel tank.
  11. Install the fuel fill cap.
  12. Inspect for fuel leaks.
