Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 GMC Acadia, 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2011 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The rear seat entertainment (RSE) system consists of two, 2-channel wireless headphones that are dedicated to the system. Channel 1 is dedicated to the video screen, while 2 is dedicated to rear seat audio (RSA) selections. The infrared module receives voltage from the rear audio/HVAC module when the RSA in ON. For DVD audio playback, the infrared module receives audio inputs directly from the radio. For all other audio sources, the radio audio signals are sent to the rear audio/HVAC module, which then provides those audio inputs to the infrared module to be broadcast to the headphones.
