Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT:
The jackscrew springs must be positioned on the fingers (opposite the ball end) to compress the fingers.
- Push the jackscrews into the mirror motor.
- Rotate both jackscrews to position the ball flanges to be inline with the attaching hub. They will then be correctly positioned to the mirror face.
- Install the electric heater wire to the mirror, if equipped.
- Align the wire stabilizers (if equipped) on the mirror case to the motor. Also align the mirror case to the motor.
- With the palm of your gloved hand, press firmly on the center of the glass until the case seats onto the motor.
- With the palm of you gloved hand pivot the mirror face to engage the jackscrews.
The jackscrews will give a clicking noise when properly seated.
- Inspect the mirror operation and clean the glass face.
