Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
  2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 3.0 ohms between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground.
    • Terminal 16
    • Terminal 45
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuits terminals listed below and ground.
    • Terminal 2
    • Terminal 31
    • If the test lamp did not illuminate, test the B+ circuits for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
