Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

  1. Install the starter mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the starter-to-engine block mounting bolt to 45 N.m (33.2 lb ft)  .

  2. Install the starter solenoid nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the starter solenoid terminal-to-battery lead wire nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)  .

  3. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
