Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel position sensor (1) to the steering column shaft.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the screw (2) to the steering wheel position sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the steering wheel position sensor screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in)  .

  3. Install the steering column to the vehicle. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .

  4. Connect the electrical connector (1).
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
