Circuit/System Verification

Engine running, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTCs P0480 and P0481 should not set.
- If any DTCs are set, refer to DTC P0480 or P0481 (w/ Dual Fans) or DTC P0480 or P0481 (w/ Single Fan) .
Perform the Loss of Coolant to verify correct fluid level.
Perform the Thermostat Diagnosis to verify correct normal operating temperature
Perform the Symptoms - Engine Cooling to verify correct operation of the cooling fans.
Engine running, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTC P0217 should not set.
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
