Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery from the battery tray. Refer to Battery Replacement .

  2. Remove the fuel filter assembly. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement .

  3. Remove the engine fuse block.

  4. Remove the engine control module (ECM). Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  5. Check the battery tray for obvious cracks or damage.

  6. Remove the glow plug fuse box.
  7. Remove the glow plug control unit.

  8. Remove the battery tray upper bolts.

  9. Remove the battery tray retaining bolts.
  10. Remove the battery tray.
