TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN

Affected Model(s):	2007 Chevrolet Malibu; Equipped with Engine RPO Code LZ4
Attention:	The information contained in this bulletin only applies to vehicles located in the Dead Sea region of the Middle East. The information does not apply to domestic vehicles located in North America or other countries.

Condition

Some customers may comment about an MIL/SES light that is illuminated. Upon further investigation, technicians may find DTC P0108 (Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage) set.

Correction

Refer to Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Diagnosis in SI. If diagnosis leads to MAP sensor replacement, replace the sensor and do not continue with this bulletin.
If the cause of the concern is not revealed by the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Diagnosis, then the necessary components will need to be replaced.
- Upper Intake Manifold (P/N 12597140)
- Updated MAP Sensor (P/N 12592190), Bracket (P/N 12608623) and Electrical Connector (P/N 88988583).
- Reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM)
Replace the upper intake manifold with updated P/N 12597140. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement in SI.
Install the new design MAP sensor, P/N 12592190, and bracket, P/N 12608623.
Splice the new electrical connector into the engine harness .

IMPORTANT: Verify that the 12-volt battery has a battery charge of 12 to 16 volts. The battery must be able to maintain a charge during programming. Only use an approved Midtronics 165-PCS charger or equivalent to maintain proper battery voltage during programming. The J2534 MDI will reprogram the modules in less time than the Tech 2® scan tool.

Reprogram the ECM with the latest calibration. Refer to Service Programming System.
