Installation Procedure

  1. Position the shock absorber (1) in the vehicle.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the upper shock absorber nuts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the lower shock absorber bolt (3) and the washer (2) in the knuckle (1). Tighten the lower mounting bolt to 180 N.m (133 lb ft) .,
  4. Remove the jack stand from the knuckle.
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
