Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Buick Lucerne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT:
When removing connectors inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector.
- The information center telltale assembly indicator
- The object alarm module
- The rear information center telltale assembly indicator wiring harness connector
- The object alarm module wiring harness connector
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the information center telltale assembly.
- Ignition ON, scan tool installed, place the transmission in REVERSE. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the information center supply voltage circuit and each information center indicator control circuit while performing the scan tool special functions LED test.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate for one or more indicator control circuits, test the indicator control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit(s) test normal, replace the information center telltale assembly.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.
