Assembly Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel position sensor.
  2. Remove the locating pin.
  3. Connect any electrical connectors as necessary.
  4. Connect the intermediate steering shaft to the steering column. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .
  5. Remove the J-42640  pin from the steering column.
  6. Install the lower steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .
