Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  1. Install the generator and bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  2. Install the positive battery lead (3) and generator output BAT terminal nut (4) to the generator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  3. Position the protective boot (1) to the generator output BAT terminal.
  4. Connect the generator electrical connector (2).
  5. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory .
  6. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPO LS4)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPOs LZE/LZ4/LZ9) .
