Installation Procedure

  1. Using a wire brush, clean the contact area of the intermediate pipe for the muffler.
  2. Install the left muffler (1) to the hangers (3).
  3. On the 7.0L engines, connect the vacuum line to the muffler assembly.
  4. Install the intermediate pipe. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement (6.0L)  or Intermediate Pipe Replacement (7.0L) .
  5. On automatic transmission equipped vehicles, install the rear suspension crossmember if lowered to provide clearance for removal of the exhaust muffler.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
