Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Replace the O-ring if damaged, lubricate the NEW O-ring with clean engine oil.
  2. Install the CMP sensor.
    3. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the CMP sensor bolt.

    Tighten:   Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

    4. Fig 1: Disconnecting/Connecting Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Electrical Connector

  4. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
  5. Install power steering pump. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP REPLACEMENT .
