Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove coolant reservoir. Refer to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the left front sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - SHEET METAL DIAGONAL .
  4. Remove the air cleaner side cover and the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement .

  5. Remove the air cleaner upper cover bolts and the air cleaner upper cover.
  6. Remove and reposition the powertrain control module (PCM) with the wiring harness.

  7. Remove the air cleaner bolts and the air cleaner.
