Removal Procedure

  1. Engine coolant must be drained below the level of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill) in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement .

  4. Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector.
  5. Remove the ECT sensor.
