Installation Procedure

  1. Position the locating pin to the windshield header.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the locating pin screws and secure. Do NOT tighten.
  3. Install the same shims in the original locations.
  4. Position the folding top panel so that the panel is resting unlatched on the windshield header, with the locating pins in the receivers.
  5. Manually latch the folding top. Apply pressure to the locating pin so that the rubber bumper is contacting the receiver.
  6. Tighten the locating pin screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  7. Open the folding top.
  8. Close the folding top while inspecting the alignment of the locating pin to the receiver. Close and latch the folding top.
  9. Remove the protective covering.
  10. Cycle the folding top under power through one complete cycle in both directions.
  11. Inspect the folding top for proper operation.
