Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sensor to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the retaining bolts to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Driver Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Passenger Side .
  4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
