Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front .
  3. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .

  5. Remove the J-Strip (1) securing the rear of the seat cushion cover to the frame.

  7. Remove the push pins (2) securing the seat cover to the frame.

  9. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt (2).
  10. Disconnect the black electrical connector from the seat belt buckle.
  11. Pull the seat belt buckle harness back through the hole in the seat adjuster assembly.
  12. Remove the seat belt buckle assembly by pulling it out through the slot in the seat cushion cover.
  13. Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat back harness.
  14. Disconnect the lumbar electrical connector, if equipped.
  15. Remove the harness clip securing the SIR harness to the seat adjuster.
  16. Disconnect the seat back heating element electrical connector, if equipped.

  18. Remove the seat adjuster cable (1) from the seat adjuster.
  19. Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball though the round opening.

  21. Remove the 2 bolts securing the recliner assembly to each side of the seat.
  22. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Front .

  24. Remove the 4 nuts that secure the seat cushion frame to the power seat adjuster frame.
