Installation Procedure

  1. Install the floor carpet.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the gearshift housing with the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the gearshift housing bolts and nuts to 8 N.m (70 lb in)  .

  3. Install the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  4. Install the left and the right kick panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Hinge Pillar .
  5. Install the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket in Seats.
  6. Install the left and the right lower center pillar trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar .
  7. Install the left and the right front rocker trim panels.
  8. Install the left and the right lower front seat belt anchors to the center pillar with the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt anchor bolts to 38 N.m (28 lb ft)  .

  9. Install the left and the right rear rocker trim panels. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear .
  10. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear in Seats.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
