Installation Procedure

  1. With the aid of an assistant, install the liftgate to the hinges with the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the liftgate bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft)  .

  2. Install the liftgate struts. Refer to Strut Replacement - Liftgate .
  3. Connect the liftgate washer hose.
  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Connect the liftgate door grommet.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
