Removal Procedure

NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.

  1. Drain the coolant system to below the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
  2. If equipped with a automatic transaxle, disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector (1).

  4. If equipped with a manual transaxle, disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector (1).

  6. Remove the ECT sensor.
