Connect Procedure

IMPORTANT: Clean any existing oxidation from the contact face of the battery terminal and battery cable using a wire brush before installing the battery cable to the battery terminal.

Install the negative battery cable to the battery.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Tighten the negative battery cable nut (1).
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear .
Install the rear floor trim plate. Refer to Floor Trim Plate Replacement - Rear .
Reset the radio stations and the clock.
