Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Identifying Gearshift Housing And Bolts

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the shift control assembly with 4 bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in) .

Install the shift control cable onto the bracket and tighten the nut.
Install the shift control cable adjuster pinch nut.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in) .

Connect the electrical switch connector.
Install the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Interior Trim.
Connect the negative battery cable.
