Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover bolts and the nuts.
  3. Remove the engine cover.

  5. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the timing belt front cover. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-1.4L.
  7. Remove the CMP sensor bolts.
  8. Remove the CMP sensor from the top.
