Installation Procedure

  1. With the aid of an assistant, install the muffler to the hangers.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. If equipped with a 3.5L (LX9) engine, remove the rear catalytic converter to muffler nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  3. If equipped with a 2.2L (L61) engine, install the intermediate pipe to muffler nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
