Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Exhaust Manifold/Catalytic Converter (2.2L)

  1. Install the intermediate pipe.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the exhaust manifold/catalytic converter to intermediate pipe nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  3. Install the HO2S.

    Tighten:  Tighten the sensor to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

  4. Connect the HO2S electrical connector (2).
  5. Install the CPA retainer (1).
  6. Install the muffler assembly. Refer to Muffler Replacement .
